Exactly a month ago tonight, I returned home from the ER vet with an empty leash. It was suddenly the worst day of my dog's life, but we had a wonderful 13 years before then. This is not the first time that I've lost a pet, but as a dog, it was the first one that I've lost that was so intertwined with my daily routine. I was lost for the next few days. Chastising myself for habits that were painful reminders.

Still walking over the yoga mats I put down to prevent him from slipping. Still latching the bathroom door that prevented him from eating the cat food. Still reaching for the button to let the rear passenger window down for him. Still checking the weather to see if it's cool enough for him to walk.

Whenever a close friend or relative lost a pet, I'd gift them a small papercraft with my condolences. This one was hard to get started and finished.

I miss our walks. I miss playing our hide and seek games. I miss buying you puzzles and watching you figuring out how to cheat. I miss you being excited about Outback Steakhouse as much as I am. I miss you understanding my words and me understanding your gestures.

I miss you, buddy.

Dropping the papercraft for the recent @illumicrate mug, inspired by the Emily Wilde series by @heather_fawcett !

The scene where Emily drags a gobsmacked Wendell through to his realm after all of Emily's hard work is a well earned reaction! I played around with different variations of what was on the other side of the door (all of which are posted on my patreon, as well as a different scene that we considered all together!)

I think my favorite part was constructing all the door knobs for this piece! I'm almost tempted to do something like this for my front door 😂

It's finally here! The long-awaited Crescent City book alley is available for pre-order over at @litjoycrate!

Oh my goshhh, thank you for your patience with this. I first made a sketch for this back in 2022, and it's been on hiatus for the longest time while I was reorganizing my schedule (and general life)

This was the idea I always had after creating the 'Drop the Beat' papercraft (last slide), where Bryce would ascend running up a ramp created by the silhouette of Danika's wolf form.

I changed up the layers to create an inverted parallax illusion for Danika's form, which you can see on the animated mock-up (third slide). Really can't wait to see it in person!
