Looking back, I had originally thought this scene took place in the middle of night, but forgot that it was right at sunrise. This immediately changed the color scheme of the piece (some mentioned it looked refreshing!). Coming on the heels of the recent 'Pledge Our Troth' piece I did of Jude and Cardan, how is it that a simple pledge and quick peck is so much more monumental than a multi-month lead up to a wedding?

If you dig down into the depths of my Instagram feed, you'll find that Mistborn was one of my very first papercraft inspirations, and it was lovely to have a chance to revisit it with this new rendition. But then to find out that they commissioned three different papercraft artists for this starter pack? 😱 How cool to be part of a little papercraft tribe for this project! 🙌 They're all so wonderful!

We had 1200 - 1400 entries each day and over 320 that submitted for the bonus puzzle! Wow!! I hope you all had fun playing it, as much as I had fun making it - As before, I love it when I see players excited to discover new accounts to explore and adding new books and authors featured in the hunt to their TBR. "Off With His Head"

After many years, the Jude In Wonderland illustration set is complete with this third and final crossover of Alice in Wonderland and The Folk of the Air Series (by @blackholly)

The "White Rabbit", who has been cameoing in the previous illustration is finally revealed as Oak! Munching away on some tarts while Jude confronts the King of Spades, Madoc! We also have some other fun cameos with Oriana as Queen, Taryn as the Duchess (and her piglet baby) with the Bomb as a Soldier Card (scheming mutiny?)

This was such a fun project and I very much appreciate your patience over the years journeying through these illustrations! This and the recent "Pledge our Troth" illustration (Jude and Cardan's wedding) are now licensed and available in my shop for those who want to finally complete their collection!

Welcome to the Annual Light the Night Scavenger Hunt Giveaway! The spooky season is upon us, and with it, all of its goulies and beasties and things that trip over Legos in the night! There’s only one bookish fan-favorite item that can ward away the darkness: CANDLES!

For thirteen days, hunters (you!) will be teaming up with your favorite witches, phantoms, princes of Sin, gargoyles, death gods, and other denizens of the dark, to guide you through your hunt for the right candle to light up the night!

Daily Winner selection:
Each day, randomly selected hunters who submit the correct entry have a chance to win one of 7 daily prizes:

- One (1) winner will receive a full size giclee print of any non-exclusive* artwork from my folio.
(8.5 x 11” or 13 x 19"; varies by artwork)
- Six (6) additional winners will receive a select mini-print of their choice.

Bonus Winner selection:

"Taste Like Roses"

Heyyy everyone! Dropping the first BONUS Sketch-a-Wish this year, frequently requested by my lovely Patreon members! Featuring Inez and Whit from WHAT THE RIVER KNOWS by @isabelibanezbooks!

Absolutely adore these two and the abrupt twists and turns in their relationship while they were unraveling the mysteries of Egypt. As a fun Easter Egg, I took the passage from this scene, used a phonetic translator, and drew it as hieroglyphics in the back. Starting from 'Do you always kiss your friends like this?' to when the candle goes out.

This artwork is currently part of a pre-order campaign for Isabel's paperback release of the duology. You'll get this and another one of my WTRK prints when you pre-order both volumes from her local indie! Check out her feed for more info!
